mental health, wellness, and everyday life
As a mental health and wellness coach, I empower you to embark on your journey towards a balanced and fulfilling life.
My coaching approach is influenced by my own experiences as a client in coaching programs, ongoing therapy, and the 8 Dimensions of Wellness model. I believe to be able to achieve a balanced and fulfilling life, one must look at each dimension of life.
Our work together is driven by intention. There are no powerpoints or worksheets; instead, sessions are structured around "YOU talk, I listen”, intentional implementation, followed by the three R’s: reflect, reframe, & refine. We take action and make waves!
Aloha! I’m Jahmela, creator of Soul Surfin’ Life Coaching and I’ll be your coach through your mental health and wellness journey.
I’m on an endless path of healing, where I have gained understanding and insight into my childhood and relationship traumas, as well as my experiences with Generalized Anxiety Disorder & Major Depressive Disorder, and everything in between. This journey has empowered me to deepen my self-awareness as a womxn in my thirties.
I find joy in learning and navigating life with an open mind and heart, embracing opportunities to share my knowledge and experiences with others. Being a supportive listener and offering guidance has always been my passion, and I am dedicated to continuing to assist others in their journey through life.
My ultimate sanctuary is Hawaii or any destination where I can sink my toes in to the sand and feel the ocean breeze. Music is my soul’s language–I enjoy exploring various genres, with Taylor Swift ranking among my favorites artists. Dishes I gravitate to the most are tacos, poke, pasta, or Filipino cuisine. During my leisure time, I indulge in watching YouTube videos, exploring new hobbies, listening to music, or spending time with loved ones.
